I began my career in grassroots music marketing for North Carolina based, Mammoth Records and Hi Frequency Street Marketing. My passion for movies and music led me to Los Angeles, where I temped for various record labels, until landing a job in advertising sales at MTV. From there, I moved onto International marketing for Paramount Pictures and Home Entertainment marketing and sales, before ultimately transitioning to work on the vendor side of the entertainment industry in digital/social marketing for creative agencies such as: 65media, Herzog & Co, BLT, Threshold, Ant Farm and most recently, Create Advertising Group.
Over the course of my 15+ year career, I have built several teams from the ground up, working to develop creative digital, social and influencer activation campaigns for a wide variety of partners including: Amazon, IFC, Neon, Dreamworks, NBC/Universal, Paramount, Disney, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., and Nestle, as well as personal projects for Jerry Bruckheimer, Tom Hanks, and Sir Mix-A-Lot.
I enjoy speaking about digital and social trends at creative conferences and universities across the country, and volunteer my time lending social media support, and spearheading unique exhibits for the California Heritage Museum. My most recent collaborations, Rock & Roll Legends: The Lost Negatives of Michael Friedman and Awkward Family Photos, based on the popular website AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com, garnered national publicity, and are among the museum’s most popular exhibits to date.
